Singapore is the best place to study in,work in and live in. Do you agree?
"A tiny island that provides everything that we need." This country has gone through many hardships such as World War Two, racial riots as well as separation from Malaysia. Despite all these set-backs, Singapore has managed to be amongst the top in certain areas, in terms of transportation accessibility and crime rates. The topic that i would like to talk about in this essay is if Singapore is the best place to study in, work in and live in. Many people have various opinions. However, i do agree that Singapore is the best place to study in, work in and live in. In this essay, firstly, is that Singapore has a superb transportation system.Secondly, Singapore has many different cultures and foods as we are multi-racial. Lastly, Singapore is free from natural disasters .
Firstly, a good transportation system is a necessity in all countries. In Singapore, we have an efficient and superb transportation system. For example, if one has to travel from one end of Singapore to the other, we can travel using the Mass Rapid Transport(MRT) which would take us only about an hour. It sounds unbelievable but it is true! We have a wide variety of public transport which ranges from luxury taxis to ordinary public buses. Singapore is so well connected that it is almost possible for us to travel to every and any corner of Singapore. Our public transport system transports about two million commuters daily. Singapore is indeed top-notch in transportation system.
Secondly, what makes Singapore special is its culture. Looking back to the racial riots which took
place four decades ago. Malays and Chinese never lived in peace together. Today, a walk by the neighbourhood estate will allow you to see cliques of Chinese and Malays talking together. That's a lesson, from then, we now live in harmony. Singapore is a food haven too. We have all kinds of food here ranging from Western, Indian to Japanese. Many people head down to 'Jalan Kayu' to have the best 'Roti Prata' even in the wee hours. Singapore is such a good place to live in, that all you have to do is make a phone call and food will arrive at your doorstep, personally delivered by the crew of MacDonald's.
Finally, we are free from almost all natural disasters. The reason being Singapore is protected by the coast of the other nations such as Malaysia. However, residents from Singapore can feel a little shake caused by earthquakes happening in the neighbourhood countries. Being safe from natural disasters also mean that we do not have to worry for our men and we should be thankful for it.
In conclusion, the reason for Singapore being the best place to live in, work in and lstudy in are largely due to our superb transportation system that links the whole country together, our multi-racial society where everyone lives together in racial harmony and lastly we do not have to worry about getting involved in a natural disaster, and we are thankful for it, as our neighbour countues took it for us.
